Are you an international activist in your 20s or 30s? If so, I would like to invite you to join our new Young Professionals for International Cooperation (YPIC) of Sonoma County. We are a group of active 20/30-somethings interested in serving and learning more about the global world we live in. In February we had our first official meeting. Now our group has 15 members with individuals who are interested in international travel, humanitarian relief, and increasing public awareness about global justice issues.
YPIC is a program of the United Nations Association of the USA and hosts groups all over the country. YPIC members are typically between the ages of 20 and 40 (although supporters of all ages are appreciated), and represent a diverse group from the business, law, government, non-profit, arts, philanthropy, and education sectors, among others. Typical YPIC groups offer continued learning projects, career or professional development, community education programs, local and international service projects, and social and networking events.
