The United Nations Association-USA is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded over a half-century ago. Its mission is to build public understanding of - and support for -
greater international cooperation through the United Nations. With main offices in New York
City and Washington, there are almost 200 chapters nationwide. The UNA Sonoma County Chapter was founded in 1946. It is located in Santa Rosa.
A Board of Directors and Officers are elected each January. Chapter programs include annual
commemorations of International Women's Day (March 8th), UN Charter Day ( June 26th),
UN Day (October 24th) and Human Rights Day (December 10th).
